Since 1995, Southland Fence & Supply has been providing residential and commercial fencing and gate services in Houston and all surrounding areas.

What types of services do you provide?
We furnish and install fencing and related perimeter security products such as new fence installation, iron gates, chain link fence, vinyl fence, operators, and access control systems.
Will your products add value to my property?
In most cases, adding a new fence to your residential property will add value to your property. An appraisal must be complete to properly determine the improved value.
Do I need to obtain the permits for my job?
No, Southland Fence & Supply Company will obtain all necessary permits. Customers are responsible to obtain any variances if needed.
Does my fence have to be installed a certain distance from the property line?
This depends on city ordinances and zoning requirements. We can help with this process to make sure your new fence conforms to code.
What is Texas 811?

Southland Fence & Supply Company is required by law to contact Texas 811 prior to starting any job. Texas 811 is a free service that comes out to make any underground utility lines. This process is done to prevent damage or injury during installation.

When can I expect my job to be installed?
Your sales rep will provide you with an estimated start date. A job can’t be started until all necessary permits have been obtained and Texas 811 has been called. Once permits are obtained and the property is marked, you will be notified of your installation date. Weather can also be a factor in determining the start date of a job. If you have any questions about your installation date, please contact your sales associate for clarification.
How long will it take to complete my job?
Many factors can determine your job’s completion date. Once we start your job, we will keep you informed of the progress until it’s completed.
How can I get in touch with my sales associate?
Your sales associate will give you a business card with all of their contact information. You are more than welcome to call, text, or email your associate. If you can’t get a hold of them, feel free to call our main office and we can connect you to the appropriate sales rep.
Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
Southland Fence & Supply is a 15 year BBB member, with a 2009, 2016, 2019, and 2020 Better Business Bureau Gold Certificate for quality service.
Do I have to be home on the day of Installation?

We ask that someone is home when our installation is scheduled. This way, you can review and confirm the fence layout and answer any questions that our installation crew may have. We also ask for someone to be home once the installation is complete so that you can inspect the installation.

Have you completed any projects in my neighborhood?
More than likely, we have installed a fence in your neighborhood. How can I find out? Easy, you can call the office or simply send us an email providing us with the name of your neighborhood and this will allow us to do a search for you.
What's the payment schedule for purchasing a fence?
50% prior to starting the job and 50% once the job is 100% completed.
How long is your quote valid for?
All of our quotes are only valid for 14 days.
Do you need a permit for a privacy fence in Houston?

A privacy fence in your backyard will often not require a permit unless it is to be over 8 feet tall, But it really depends on where you live. Feel free to reach out to us, and we will be more than glad to provide you with more information.

How long does a fence installation take?
It really depends on many factors, the type of fence, length, and site conditions all contribute to how long it takes. Generally speaking, though, an average job here in Houston takes 1-2 days for most wood fences, chain link fences, or iron fences.
Does my fence need to have concrete around the post?
YES! All fence posts will have a concrete foundation around them, with a minimum of 4,000 psi of concrete.
What size are entry gates usually?
Walk gates are usually 3′.6″ to 4′ wide, and double drive access gates are often 8′ or 10′ wide.
What type of payment do we accept?
We accept cash, checks, or credit cards.

What other documents or paperwork may I need?
We ask that you have a plot of the survey of your property available to ensure that your fence is installed within your property lines and recommend you have this at the time our sales representative comes out to your property.
